Information on memory configuration: The following technical specifications should be considered in advance: RDIMM (Registered DIMM) or LRDIMM (Load Reduced DIMM) RAM can be installed in the device. LRDIMM memory is recommended when large memory capacities are required. RDIMM memory modules cannot be mixed with LRDIMM memory. If a memory upgrade is to be made with the existing RAM, it must be checked which memory technology (RDIMM / LRDIMM) is present. Memory slots without a processor must not be populated.

Technology: max. RAM per CPU, max. RAM 2 x CPU, max. RAM 4 x CPU, maximum RAM with 24 memory slots per CPU:

Memory configuration for good system performance: Optimal performance is achieved with 4 or 8 identical memory modules per CPU. When populated with 8 DIMMs (1 DIMM per channel), 16 DIMMs (2 DPC), or 24 DIMMs (3 DPC) per CPU, interleaving is optimally supported across the memory controllers and memory channels. This allows for maximum performance in Independent Mode and Lockstep Mode. Configurations with 2 DIMMs, 6 DIMMs, or 10 DIMMs per CPU are not recommended. Distribute the memory evenly across the memory slots and evenly across the CPUs. If more than one CPU is present, the RAM should be populated identically (mirrored to the other CPU) per CPU.
