The shroud enhances the cooling performance of your fan/radiator combination. Installed between the fan and the radiator, it allows the air to distribute in the pre-chamber, thereby improving the airflow across the entire cooling surface of the radiator. When a fan is mounted directly on the radiator, the fan motor creates a dead zone behind it, leaving part of the radiator surface unused and unable to contribute to cooling. Multiple shrouds can also be connected in series with longer screws, further improving the fan's efficiency. The chosen material ensures a tighter seal between the radiator and the fan, which better directs the airflow to its intended target.

Noise: The material, a hard rubber with a thickness of 7 mm, separates the fan from the case. The vibration-free mounting is particularly essential for high-speed fans, as their inherent vibrations can cause parts of the case to move, which can become very loud over time. It also prevents rattling of the fan on the mounted component.
