The Pentax 17 takes pictures in half format. This involves taking two 17 mm x 24 mm images in the original 35 mm format (36 mm x 24 mm). In the normal camera position, the images are taken in portrait format, which has the great advantage that the images are delivered "smartphone-compatible" directly after development and scanning, and can therefore be shared directly in the communities. The Pentax 17 has a developed 25mm F3.5 fixed focal length lens (equivalent to a 37mm lens in 35mm format) and the Pentax 17 has a manual film winding mechanism based on the mechanisms of the Pentax brand SLR film cameras. The film advance lever allows users to enjoy film advance and shutter winding. A simple film loading system has been developed to avoid errors when loading the film.
