The elaborate construction of Leica lenses not only allows for brilliant sharpness right to the edges but also minimizes distortion and vignetting. A aperture ring for continuous exposure adjustment and a focus-clutch mechanism for direct manual focusing enhance usability. It is also characterized by a dust and splash water-resistant design, allowing it to be used in harsh conditions down to -10° C. Additionally, the lens enables strong close-ups with 0.42x magnification at a distance of 31 cm, while minimizing focus breathing.
