With the DMP-UB704, Panasonic expands its 4K home theater portfolio with another Ultra HD Blu-ray player. Just like the UB900, which has won multiple awards for its unmatched picture quality, the UB704, first introduced at IFA 2016, features Panasonic's exclusive 4K High-Precision Chroma Processor. The UB704 supports 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray playback with technologies such as HDR (High Dynamic Range) and the extended color gamut BT.2020. Conventional Blu-ray Discs and DVDs are also processed with high quality and displayed in the best possible picture quality thanks to 4K Direct Chroma Upscaling. Naturally, the UB704 comes with built-in Wi-Fi, offers numerous internet apps, and supports 4K video-on-demand streaming services.
The UB704 meets the extremely high standards of image processing defined by the UHD Alliance and thus carries the coveted Ultra HD Premium quality seal. The new player is based on the same image processing technologies as the flagship model UB900 and can therefore claim the outstanding ratings from numerous specialist magazines for itself. The UB704 also meets high standards in audio quality. It is capable of playing high-resolution audio formats: in addition to conventional audio formats like WAV, FLAC, MP3, AAC, and WMA, it can also process music files in DSD (5.6 MHz/2.8 MHz) and ALAC formats. Audio output can be done via an optical digital output or one of the two HDMI outputs. Audio and video signals are isolated from each other to prevent unwanted signal noise.
