Product details
Moog presents the One, a masterpiece of contemporary synthesizer craftsmanship. It is not only a 16-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer, but it is also three-part multitimbral: bass line, lead, and, for example, effect bells can all be played simultaneously. The instrument generates its sounds per voice using three VCOs with variable waveshape, two filters (State Variable Filter and the classic Moog Ladder Filter with LowPass/HighPass), four variable LFOs, three DAHDSR envelopes with adjustable curves, multicolored noise, a ring modulator, FM, Hardsync, a mixer with filter assignment per input, and numerous modulation options.
When played in unison mode, up to 48 oscillators can sound simultaneously! One can take a deep breath and say, "What a monster!" For this mode, there is a detune knob that allows the VCOs to be slightly detuned from each other; the result is a massive wall of sound.
Additionally, there are several editable effects available, such as chorus, delay, phaser, bit reduction, vocoder, and premium reverb effects from Eventide like Blackhole, Shimmer, and others for sound enhancement.
The memory can hold several thousand sounds, which can be conveniently organized into 128 performance sets with 64 sounds each for quicker access. Performance aids include chord memory, an arpeggiator, a 64-step step sequencer, an XY touchpad, pitch and mod wheels, the excellent Fatar TP-8S keyboard, and up to three connectable pedals.
Furthermore, there are four hardware inserts with 6.3 mm jacks to integrate external equipment into the One's signal path. Up to five CV inputs and four CV outputs, along with extensive MIDI control, complete the control options.
