Product details
DFAM is the first addition to the Mother-32 family of synthesizers and offers an expressive, hands-on approach to creating percussive patterns. No patching is required, and no prior knowledge is necessary, allowing people of all ages to quickly start synthesizing new and unique rhythmic compositions.
Powered by a user-friendly analog sequencer, the emotional sound of DFAM begins with a white noise generator and two wideband analog oscillators that effortlessly switch between rhythmic pulsations, booming bass, and resonant bells. DFAM's distinctive voice is shaped by a classic Moog ladder filter, which offers two selectable modes: the Low Pass mode adds impact and dimension to any sound, while the High Pass mode allows for naturally expressive hits, peaks, and sonorous accents.
DFAM behaves similarly to a living organism, responding differently to various individuals. Three dedicated analog envelopes work dynamically with the sequencer to ensure that tribal toms come alive, industrial impacts evolve, and cacophonous chaos can be generated or tamed with a twist of a knob. Each DFAM comes with a package of Moog patch cables that unlock access to the 24-point modular patch bay. Use it to create new sounds or bizarre behaviors, synchronize multiple DFAM and Mother-32 units, or fully integrate your analog instrument into a modular Eurorack production environment.
