Safety and Warning Instructions

The device is powered by lethal mains voltage. Therefore, never attempt to make any modifications and do not insert anything into the ventilation openings. There is a risk of electric shock. Do not operate the device and immediately unplug it from the outlet if there are visible damages to the device or the power cable, if there is suspicion of a defect after a fall or similar incidents, or if malfunctions occur. In any case, take the device to a specialized workshop for repair. Use the device only indoors and protect it from dripping and splashing water, high humidity, and heat (permissible operating temperature range 0 - 40 °C). Never pull the power plug out of the socket by the cable; always grasp the plug itself. If the device will not be used for an extended period (e.g., longer than a week), remove the batteries. This will protect the device from damage in case of battery leakage. If the device is to be permanently taken out of service, hand it over to a local recycling facility for environmentally friendly disposal. Batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of in household waste. Dispose of them according to local regulations in special waste.
