Product details

The MIT400/2 series insulation resistance testers offer users a wide range of applications. They are particularly suitable for utility companies that need to locate faults in hard-to-reach locations such as cable ducts, wind turbines, or control cabinets. However, they are also ideal for applications in motor testing, the automotive industry, and aerospace.

The insulation measurement is feedback-controlled, meaning that the test voltage is fed back to the device, monitored, and then returned to the measurement point. This optimizes the test voltage and limits the overvoltage to 2%. This is significantly better than the industry standard, which allows for a range of 1% to 20%. The test voltage can be continuously varied between 10 V and 1,000 V.

A very user-friendly auto-range function automatically adjusts the display range to the measurement value between 0.01 Ω and 1.0 MΩ. The MIT430/2 is very handy and also features a robust IP54 housing, a sturdy fold-out stand that keeps the device securely in an upright position, a battery compartment for six batteries, and separate access to the internal fuses.
