The Lindy USB 2.0 active extension hub uses active electronics to extend the cable length of a USB 2.0 device by 20 meters. It continues to support data transfer rates of up to 480 Mbit/s. The USB 2.0 active extension hub features a USB Type A plug and four USB Type A ports, allowing for the connection and flexible positioning of various Type A USB devices, such as storage media or webcams, at a greater distance from PCs, laptops, and tablets. Up to two USB 2.0 active extension hubs can be daisy-chained for a total distance of 40 meters. The Lindy USB 2.0 active extension hub is compatible with computers that have a USB Type A port. It supports Plug & Play and can be connected quickly and easily. Additionally, the active extension hub includes a DC socket for connecting a power supply (not included) for devices with high power requirements.
