This option simplifies the billing of hotspot fees. Once the LANCOM Public Spot option is installed on a LANCOM device, this additional option allows for guest access registration and billing through the Property Management System (PMS). This is done via the FIAS interface, which enables direct communication between the LANCOM device and, for example, the FIAS-based Micros Fidelio system. Thus, the LANCOM hotspot solution offers significant flexibility regarding pricing structures: You can decide whether internet usage fees should automatically be charged to the hotel room bill of the respective guest or if, for example, conference guests can use the internet for free with additional vouchers.
