The IFM IG6083 is an inductive sensor designed for a variety of applications in automation technology. With a cylindrical housing and an M18 x 1 thread, this sensor offers a robust and reliable solution for object detection without direct contact. The sensor operates with a supply voltage of 15 to 30 V DC and has a switching distance of 0.8 to 8 mm, making it versatile. The analog output is provided via a 4-20 mA output, which has a linear slope of 2.22 mA/mm. The housing is made of brass coated with white bronze, while the active area is made of PBT, ensuring high resistance to environmental influences. The sensor is not flush mountable and features an M12 connector, allowing for easy integration into existing systems.
