USB Rover products operate over a standard Cat 5e UTP cable. The USB Rover 2850 utilizes a technology that is ideal for extending USB peripherals without the need for additional software for the computer or target devices. The USB Rover 2850 product consists of two separate units: the Local Extender (LEX) and the Remote Extender (REX). The LEX unit is connected to the host computer and the remote USB device via conventional USB cables, while a Cat 5e UTP cabling is used to connect LEX and REX over distances of up to 85 meters. Icron's USB Rover 2850 extension system is a two-port extender, perfect for use with USB peripherals such as keyboards, mice, interactive whiteboards, and game controllers, without the need for external power adapters. Package includes: Local Extender (LEX) module, Remote Extender (REX) module, 2 m USB cable, quick start guide.
