The integrated Trusted Platform Module security chip is a hardware security module that integrates core security elements into the subsystem. It was developed by HPE as a founding member of the Trusted Computing Group. The integrated TPM security chip uses a root key stored in silicon to enhance file and folder encryption of Microsoft operating systems and serves as the foundation for authenticating TPM-enabled PCs to the corporate network.
