Product details
AMD EPYC 4004 Series processors are a welcome addition to the 4th generation AMD EPYC processor family, lowering the threshold for businesses and hosting services looking to move to a platform with a server operating system and other enterprise functions, but at an optimal price point in GIGABYTE solutions. SMBs and hosting services depend on the reliability of servers to operate around the clock. At the same time, they need a higher level of manageability. In addition to validation, GIGABYTE offers the GIGABYTE Management Console (GMC) for system management and the GIGABYTE Server Management (GSM) software for monitoring multiple servers.
The AMD AM5 socket is versatile in that it supports the consumer platform while being able to move into the enterprise space, and GIGABYTE has motherboards, workstations and servers that support it. The first processor on this platform, the AMD Ryzen 7000 series, has proven itself in the enterprise server market thanks to its low cost per core and high core count options. Its successor, the AMD EPYC 4004 series, now expands the possibilities with even more enterprise features. These "Zen 4" architecture processors can easily handle compute-intensive workloads, yet are versatile enough to provide users with an optimal choice for applications where performance, productivity and efficiency are critical.
