Product details

The FUJIFILM X-E5 expands the successful X series with a model that further develops the characteristic mix of classic, modern design with intuitive operation and advanced image technology.

Weighing just 445 grammes*1, the X-E5 is one of the lightest mirrorless system cameras on the market. At the same time, it offers impressive performance: the back-illuminated 40.2 megapixel "X-Trans CMOS 5 HR" sensor*2 and the powerful X-Processor 5 ensure outstanding image quality and fast data processing. With the X-E5, FUJIFILM introduces several innovations to the X-E line. The in-camera five-axis image stabilisation compensates for camera shake by up to 7.0 EV stops in the image centre and 6.0 EV stops at the edges*3. This ensures razor-sharp images even in low light. Another new feature is the cover plate made entirely from milled aluminium, which ensures a high-quality feel. The new Classic Display mode*4 offers a reduced, clear viewfinder display, with all important information appearing at the bottom of the screen. The body design allows quick access to dials and levers with just one hand, so that the view through the viewfinder can remain focussed on the subject. The X-E5 remains true to the style of the X series and consistently develops it further in terms of design and function. Sophisticated technology and elegant design make the camera a tool that appeals to both beginners and experienced photographers - and reawakens the joy of photography.

The new Fuji camera is fast and achieves very good image quality. In terms of features, it impresses with many functions and an unusually powerful video mode for its price range. The main weakness compared to the somewhat more expensive Fuji cameras is the lack of image stabilisation (IBIS), which has a negative impact when using non-stabilised lenses...

The X-E5 from Fujifilm is so good that it can almost compete with the significantly more expensive X-T5. In comparison, it is the somewhat lighter and handier alternative. The camera will appeal to those who are flirting with a compact model like the X100VI, but would actually prefer a system camera with interchangeable lenses. Then the X-E5 is the ideal choice!

The X-E5 is the latest member of Fujifilm's X-series and is already appealing on the outside with its stylish retro design without a viewfinder mound. Fui has further expanded the functions for film simulations. In the practical and laboratory test in fotoMAGAZIN 10/25, the APS-C camera achieved very good results in all areas...

The Fujifilm X-E5 is a compact system camera that delivers very detailed photos. Thanks to its 40-megapixel resolution, it can compete with significantly larger and more expensive full-frame models - if it is not too dark. This is because extremely high ISO values are not the X-E50's strong point: the photos look great up to ISO 1600, after which the image sharpness decreases and the images become...

Rank 1 out of 4Foto MagazinAPS-C Kameras im TestReleaseSeptember 2025

The X-E5 achieves very good results in all areas. The comparison with the X-T50 is primarily decided by design preferences - although the older camera costs 300 euros less, has a flash on board, but is not suitable for selfies. The Z50 Il has the brightest viewfinder and the best high-ISO smoke behaviour. If you can do without the viewfinder, the X-M5 is also a very good choice.
