Small but powerful: the XF 16-50 mm is a great kit lens for the moderate extra cost.
Fujinon XF 16-50mm F2.8-4.8 R LM WR "Swiss Guarantee"
The XF16-50mmF2.8-4.8 R LM WR covers the essential focal length range from 16 mm in wide-angle to 50 mm in the medium telephoto range (equivalent to 24 mm to 76 mm in full-frame). It is suitable for a variety of subjects, from landscape and architectural photography to group shots and portraits. This zoom lens is compatible with the high-resolution 40.2-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor and, weighing approximately 240 grams, is lighter than any other XF zoom lens. Its versatility makes it the perfect standard lens that is quickly accessible in any situation. In addition to its high-resolution performance, it features an exceptionally short minimum focusing distance, allowing for fascinating images at nearly a 1:2 reproduction ratio in full-frame format. Thus, the lens is also ideal for photographing plants, food, and crafts.

If you have high and professional demands for a fast standard zoom lens for Fujifilm X, there is no way around the second generation of the 16-55mm with f2.8 aperture. But not only the image quality is excellent, the workmanship and robustness also justify the price.
Small, compact and yet versatile. This is how the new Fujinon XF16-50mm F2.8-4.8 R LMWR standard zoom lens presents itself. Weighing just 240 grams, the model is surprisingly light for a zoom lens. In fact, it is currently the lightest zoom lens in the XF series. And with its overall length of 7.1 cm, the camera with the lens attached should also fit in a jacket pocket or two...
The new standard zoom from Fujifilm reflects the latest developments in lens construction: despite increasingly compact dimensions and a low weight, the resolution performance and overall image quality increases, as contrast and colour rendition are also excellent.
The telephoto setting of the Fujinon XF 2.8-4.8/16-50 mm R LM WR is the weakest link in the chain here: at this focal length, the performance in the centre of the image leaves a lot to be desired, even if the edge fall-off is moderate. At 16 mm and 28 mm it is the other way round: the centre of the image is very good overall, the edge fall-off is too strong...
