Product details
FPS00201 USB Fingerprint Sensor
With the FPS00201, you can quickly and securely log into your Windows 10 or 11 system using your fingerprint, without having to enter a password. The sensor utilizes Windows Hello, so no additional software needs to be installed. A free USB 2.0 or 3.0 port is all that's required.
The FPS00201 features a precise 360° surface sensor that recognizes your fingerprint from any angle. Login occurs within one second. Up to five fingerprints can be stored, whether they are all yours or from multiple users. A smart algorithm improves the recognition rate with each use.
The compact design means the FPS00201 barely protrudes from the USB port, making it ideal for laptops. If the sensor is removed, password login remains possible. When reinserted, the fingerprint sensor works immediately again, without needing to be set up again.
The FPS00201 includes an ELAN chip, which can also be used with Linux. Please note that some Linux distributions may not correctly recognize the sensor type, and support for Linux is not guaranteed. Under Windows, driver installation occurs automatically via Windows Update.
The FPS00201 is not compatible with macOS, ChromeOS, or Windows on ARM.
