This is a backplate for EVGA graphics card models of the GeForce GTX 970 or GTX 760 type with ACX and ACX 2.0 layout. It can only be used in conjunction with a compatible EK Water Blocks cooler and is mounted on the back of the graphics card. Since this side is typically oriented upwards and thus visible in the case, a visual upgrade here is significantly more impactful than on the front of the graphics card.

To fulfill this purpose perfectly, an EK logo is cut out of the silver nickel-plated aluminum plate, and an inscription is additionally engraved. Besides the aesthetic enhancement, the backplate also provides increased stability. This effectively prevents the PCB from bending due to uneven tightening of the screws when attaching the main cooler, thereby avoiding prolonged stress.

The backplate is not compatible with the original graphics card cooler, is not water-cooled, is not primarily intended as a heatsink, and cannot be used individually. However, it is fully compatible with the appropriate coolers from EK Water Blocks. The required screws are included in the package. These screws are longer than the original screws, as they need to pass through the backplate and the PCB to secure the main cooler.
