It utilizes 3M tape that is easy to remove without scratches or residue. Use the included tool to remove the adhesive. The aluminum construction makes it durable. Just replace the old 3M tape with a new one and reuse it over and over again.

It does not harm your drive. The mu-metal shield protects the drive, and HoldX’s low magnetic conductivity (under 90 Gauss) makes it completely safe. The magnet would need to be over 10,000 Gauss to have any effect.

Please note that HoldX is designed for use only on plastic, metal, and other flat, non-porous surfaces. HoldX is not suitable for attachment to silicone or similar materials.
