The 60 GHz cnWave solution from Cambium Networks provides simple, fast, and cost-effective wireless gigabit connectivity for edge access and/or high-capacity backhaul for edge access solutions at significantly lower total operating costs than fiber infrastructure. The V5000 is a 60 GHz access point unit with two sector antennas featuring a beamwidth of 2x 140° (20° in the vertical direction), an antenna gain of 22.5 dBi, and the capability to connect 4 distribution nodes or up to 30 CPE units. The device has a total of 2 Ethernet ports and one optical SFP+ slot. The first port supports 100M/1G and 10G speeds, including passive PoE IN 44-57V DC, while the second gigabit port also supports PoE Out with the 802.3at standard, making it particularly suitable for powering cameras. The wireless component supports two bandwidths: 2160 MHz and 4320 MHz (future firmware), with an actual connection speed of 7.6 Gbps (3.8 Gbps downlink, 3.8 Gbps uplink) and supports wireless modes PtMP, Mesh, or PTP. The maximum power consumption of the device is 35 W, which can be up to 60 W when using PoE Out.
