Built for the Creality3D CR-10 V2, this extruder upgrade kit is designed to replace the original feeder. This kit does not include a motor, as the original motor will be used.

Bondtech's dual drive performance provides a high-performance material feeding system that allows for faster printing with improved quality. The adjustable thumbscrew enables fine-tuning of the force acting on the filament, resulting in more reliable printing with various filaments, both stiff and flexible. The dual drive system ensures that the extruder maintains a firm grip on the filament, eliminating issues like grinding and slipping.

Due to the gearing ratio, the stepper motor can push filament with enough force that the Bowden tube may be extruded in the event of a clog. To prevent damage, it is recommended to lower the stepper motor current to about half of the original setting. A step-by-step guide is available to assist users in making this adjustment.

The Bowden tube is securely held in place by a 4mm industry standard integrated push-fit connector, which helps reduce filament jams. There is now a nearly 0.1mm gap between the Bondtech gears and the SLS 3D printed housing to prevent filament from jamming. An additional short PTFE tube is included between the extruder and the filament sensor to facilitate easier loading and unloading of filament.

The housing parts are professionally SLS 3D printed with polyamide for maximum strength and precision. Due to the slightly higher geometry of the extruder, the total print height will be 390 mm.

A firmware update is required for the Creality3D firmware to use this upgrade kit. The E-steps need to be updated to 415. Please refer to the installation guide for instructions. Additionally, it is necessary to adjust the maximum Z height to 390mm in your slicer's machine settings.
