Arctic Liquid Freezer III - 420
Product details
The Liquid Freezer III is ready to use immediately thanks to the pre-installed radiator fans in a push configuration. The fan cables are concealed within the tubing, so only one cable needs to be connected to the motherboard. With the included MX-6 thermal paste, you have everything you need for a quick and easy installation.
The motherboard's voltage regulators often operate at maximum temperature when paired with power-hungry CPUs. To counteract the lack of airflow in a tower cooler, the Liquid Freezer III features an improved VRM fan. The 60 mm PWM-controlled fan provides near-silent cooling for the socket area in cases with insufficient VRM cooling, poor airflow, or during overclocking scenarios. This allows for consistently higher loads and a longer lifespan for the voltage regulators.
Intel's Independent Load Mechanism (ILM) can deform the CPU by applying over 40 kg of pressure at two points in the socket, leading to stress on the PCB, the die, and the solder joint between the die and the integrated heat spreader (IHS). Under high thermal loads, this can cause long-term issues. ARCTIC's patented mounting frame does not deform the CPU, significantly reduces mechanical stress, is quick and easy to install, and allows the cooler to be secured to the CPU backplate. The result is minimized mechanical stress on the motherboard and CPU, consistent cooling performance, and a straightforward installation.
The Liquid Freezer III is equipped with a specially designed PWM-controlled water pump optimized for both performance and noise. Thanks to the improved cold plate with an expanded fin surface and optimized water channels, the Liquid Freezer III enhances performance while operating quietly.
