Product details
Switched Rack PDUs measure the power consumption of the load in conjunction with controlled switching on and off of individual outlets for remote system rebooting. Additionally, the systems offer delayed power-on for systems as well as usage management for outlets.
Control of power supply for rack-based IT devices: APC Switched Rack PDUs (switched rack power distribution units) provide IT managers with the ability to control the power supply of rack devices. All outlets can be individually turned on or off remotely, allowing for the reboot of crashed devices and preventing unauthorized use of individual outlets. With power-on and power-off delays, users can set the order in which connected devices are powered on or off. By prioritizing load shedding, circuit overloads can be avoided during the return of the mains power supply, and downtime for critical devices can be reduced. An ammeter enables real-time remote monitoring of connected loads. Custom alarms alert users to potential circuit overloads before critical IT devices fail. The configuration and management of the Switched Rack PDUs are done via a secure web connection or SNMP or Telnet interface. Complementary management solutions include APC platforms for centralized management such as InfraStruXure Manager, InfraStruXure Central, Capacity Manager, and Change Manager.
