If you have a modern case with USB 3.1 device connectivity but no motherboard that provides a suitable internal USB 3.0 connection, this adapter can help ensure that the case ports are not left unused.

With the approximately 40 cm long black cable from Akasa, you can convert the connection plug (USB 3.1, 19-pin, male) from the motherboard into a USB 3.0 plug (19-pin, male). Additionally, another connection cable can be attached to a USB 2.0 port to ensure backward compatibility of connected devices to USB 2.0. The cable achieves maximum possible transfer rates of 5 Gbit/s via USB 3.0.
