Product details
The Adafruit MCP9601 (MCP96L01) I2C thermocouple amplifier is a highly advanced electronics module specifically designed for precise temperature measurement with thermocouples. This module supports a variety of thermocouple types, including K, J, T, N, S, E, B, and R, and allows for easy integration into microcontrollers or single-board computers via the I2C interface. The integrated chip handles all analog tasks and provides a cold junction compensation reference to ensure accurate readings. With the ability to set over and under temperature alarms, this module is ideal for applications requiring precise temperature monitoring. The breakout board comes fully assembled and tested, featuring a 3.3V regulator and a level-shifting circuit that allows flexible use with 3.3V or 5V logic. The included 2-pin terminal block enables easy connection to the thermocouple, while the pin header allows for simple integration into breadboards or perfboards.
- Supports thermocouples of types K, J, T, N, S, E, B, and R
- Temperature range from -200°C to +1800°C depending on type
- Resolution of ±0.0625 °C for precise measurements
- Includes 3.3V regulator and level-shifting circuit.
