Some products also have ATEX certification for use in explosive environments. The CM-MSS thermistor motor protection relay is designed for heavy starting, increased switching frequency, high ambient temperature, inadequate cooling, interruption, and asymmetry. The CM series of thermistor motor protection relays is used to control motors with PTC temperature sensors. The PTC temperature sensors are integrated into the motor windings and measure the heating of the motor. This allows for direct regulation and evaluation of the following operating conditions: main applications include the dynamic detection of broken wires, a wide control voltage range of 24–240 V AC/DC, short-circuit monitoring of the sensor circuit, non-volatile fault memory, and remote reset. Screw connection technology or Easy-Connect technology is available. Version with single sensor input and wire break detection.
