The UP-Board is credit card-sized and offers high performance with low power consumption thanks to the latest tablet technology: the Intel Atom x5 Z8350 processor (codename Cherry Trail) with 64-bit architecture up to 1.92 GHz. The internal GPU is the Intel Gen 8 HD 400 with 12 execution units up to 500 MHz, enabling extremely high 3D graphics performance. The board is equipped with 4 GB DDR3L RAM and 32 GB eMMC.
The UP-Board features a 40-pin universal bus, giving manufacturers the freedom to design their shielding. Numerous interfaces are available, including 4 USB 2.0 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports plus 1 UART port on the header, 1 USB 3.0-OTG, 1 Gbit Ethernet (full speed), 1 DSI/eDP port, 1 camera (MIPI-CSI), and 1 HDMI port as well as RTC.
