    digitec/galaxus Accessibility and customer service

Why can't I reach anyone at digitec/galaxus? I sent in a defective coffee capsule machine almost a month ago and I can no longer get any information from digitec/galaxus, let alone contact customer service. All online assistants are useless, everything used to be much better. Also about the move of the store in Winterthur, you didn't get any information that they have changed location, no, they prefer to leave people standing in front of an empty shop. Instead of wanting to expand abroad (Amazon Land) and spending billions there, they should think about a more sensible pricing policy and new, more accessible locations in Switzerland. For example, a location in Embrach, Bülach or Kloten.

What happened to Next Day Delivery?

Hello everyone, I've noticed with my last two orders that most products now say "Delivered the day after tomorrow" instead of "Delivered tomorrow". Also, my last order, which I placed yesterday morning, was only shipped now and should arrive tomorrow. Does anyone know anything about this, and will it stay this way? Next-day delivery should be standard if it comes from their own warehouse...

Has Anyone Else Noticed a Decline in Digitec/Galaxus Quality?

I've been a customer of Digitec/Galaxus for many years and used to consider them one of the most reliable online retailers in Switzerland. However, over the past year or so, my experience has become increasingly frustrating. More than half of my recent orders have been shipped or delivered later than the advertised delivery date. While occasional delays are understandable, it has become common enough that I no longer trust the delivery estimates shown when ordering. I've also had several cases where the wrong product was shipped, which meant spending additional time dealing with returns and reordering, or products also arrived damaged due to the bad handling of the delivery services. What frustrates me most is that these problems are no longer isolated incidents. Delays, incorrect shipments, and other fulfillment issues seem to occur far more frequently than they did a few years ago. The overall experience feels noticeably less reliable than it used to be. I'm curious whether others have noticed the same trend recently or whether I've simply had a streak of bad luck. Has anyone else experienced a decline in service quality from Digitec/Galaxus over the past year?

Delivery to PickPost address (currently?) no longer possible

Hello all Why is it currently not possible to deliver to a PickPost address? The PickPost addresses I have stored at Digitec are greyed out in the checkout area, cannot be selected and the message "One or more items cannot be delivered to a PickPost point" appears.

    Does anyone know evisto.ch?

Hello everyone! Has anyone ever had any experience with the company SG Elektronik AG in St. Gallen (evisto.ch)? Digitec/Galaxus occasionally sells products on behalf of this company at quite attractive prices. Given the low prices, I wonder which lorry these products have fallen off. The website doesn't really make a good impression. I could be wrong of course, but trust is good, control is better. I'd be interested to hear what you think of the shop! Merci and regards

    Mac Studio?

Hey, About 3 weeks ago, I ordered a Mac Studio in the standard configuration from you and, of course, paid for it. At that time, it said: xx units ordered, deliverable between 01.07-24.07. Then every few days I received an email: "Sorry, your order is delayed." Since then, silence. Today I checked, and the date has been pushed back even further, now sitting at the end of the current estimated delivery for new orders. Again with xx units ordered. It would be really nice if you could let me know what's going on, or how much longer I really have to wait? Has anyone else here ordered a Mac Studio, or perhaps even received one already?

Guide to buying an electric scooter

Good morning, everyone! I’d like some advice from anyone with experience of electric scooters. I’ve changed jobs and now have to travel every day between Porta Garibaldi and Via Vespri Siciliani in Milan (about 7 km).It takes me about 45 minutes by underground, so I’m considering buying a scooter to cut down on the journey time, which Google Maps suggests would be around 30 minutes. I’m looking for a model with the following features: affordable, as this will be my first scooter; safe and reliable for a daily journey of about 7 km on flat terrain; lightweight and easy to carry, as I’ll be taking it with me on the train too. If you have any models to recommend or have first-hand experience with this type of use, I’d be really grateful. Thanks in advance to everyone!

    Planzer delivery date not met

I have three orders that are due to be delivered by Planzer. They were dispatched by Digitec on 29 June 2026, but nothing has arrived to date. Planzer’s track record on meeting delivery deadlines is abysmal. For the first order, it says delivery is due to take place on 1 July 2026. It’s now 2 July and it still says 1 July – the tracking information hasn’t even been updated. It’s just terrible.

    Digitec Galaxus public REST API?

Hello everyone, Are there any considerations or long-term plans to provide a public REST API for Digitec Galaxus or is such a thing conceivable in principle? This would mean read-only access to product data such as descriptions, specifications, prices, availability, categories or ratings. This could be used to build your own tools, for example for price analyses, product comparisons, data exports, notifications, etc. Of course, under clear framework conditions such as API keys, rate limits and access only to public data without influencing shop functions. I would be interested to know whether there are already statements or discussions on this or whether a public API is deliberately not planned. Thank you very much.

The world’s three largest RAM manufacturers are facing a class action antitrust lawsuit in court

A wide-ranging antitrust class action lawsuit has been pending in the USA against the world’s three largest RAM manufacturers since the end of June 2026. The lawsuit is directed against the industry giants Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron, which together control around 90 per cent of the global DRAM market. The current case (June/July 2026) was filed as a class action before the US District Court for the Northern District of California by several private individuals and smaller PC companies The allegation: The manufacturers are accused of illegal cartel formation and the artificial creation of a shortage of conventional RAM. They are alleged to have deliberately and in a coordinated manner diverted production away from consumer RAM (DDR3, DDR4, DDR5) in order to free up capacity for extremely expensive HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) for AI data centres. The impact: This artificially induced ‘RAMpocalypse’ or ‘RAMageddon’ is said to have driven up prices for consumer memory dramatically. According to reports, average memory prices at Samsung rose by 146 per cent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2026, whilst SK Hynix recorded increases in the mid-60 per cent range. The defence: The manufacturers primarily cite the mechanisms of the free market economy: the enormous demand driven by the AI boom has led to a natural prioritisation of the more lucrative server and HBM markets. Micron has already rejected the allegations and emphasised that it operates within the bounds of fair, legal competition. From a historical perspective, this situation is not new for the accused. The proceedings are based on a historically grounded suspicion, as the manufacturers have already been convicted on several occasions in the past for similar offences: In 2005/2006, in a long-running case brought by the US Department of Justice, Samsung and SK Hynix (then Hynix) pleaded guilty to illegal price-fixing and paid hundreds of millions of dollars in fines. Micron cooperated as a key witness at the time and escaped punishment. In 2010, the European Commission also imposed fines running into the millions on the manufacturers for a DRAM cartel. It is now up to the US courts to determine whether the claimants in the current proceedings can prove that this constitutes an illegal, secret agreement and not merely parallel, economically logical behaviour amid the AI boom. What do you make of this? Do you think the manufacturers are ‘playing a game’ with us? The consumer market can look forward to the outcome with interest, and perhaps something will finally happen in our favour ;-) Regards, Alexander Grand

Shocked by the labor cost charged - return of goods.

I ordered two Somfy indoor cameras at the price of CHF 259.95. After doing installation tests, I realized that the configuration of the outlets in my apartment was not practical with these cables. I decided to carefully repackage the camera (the other one was not touched) and send everything back to the sender Conrad. After receiving the refund, I noticed that an amount of CHF 26.- had been deducted for labor. I completely understand that the manufacturer has to check the condition of the goods upon return and charge a percentage, but I find the cost a bit excessive. It's a shame

Wrong variants: enshittification symptom or just bad luck?

Recently I made a couple of purchases that disappointed me in the same way: the variant shipped to me was different from the one shown and described on the product pages. A retro CD player was made of different materials, and an analogue wristwatch arrived in a different color. In one case the seller was a marketplace supplier (evisto.ch); in the other, I couldn’t even clearly reconstruct who was behind the offer, so Digitec’s own logistics may well be part of the problem, not just “some 3rd party”. This isn’t about the quality of the products themselves. I recognize that two bad experiences are not enough to claim a solid pattern, but enough to raise a red flag. The point is that (at least) one of three things must have been true: either the information on the store is unreliable; or some marketplace retailers are possibly offloading old inventory; or the processes between Digitec and its merchants (including Digitec’s own product management) need improving. Whatever the causes, the only redeeming factor is that giants like Amazon and AliExpress are, in my eyes, even worse. But that’s cold comfort. I don’t want Digitec to turn into either of them… and right now, that’s exactly the direction it feels like it’s heading. The huge shift from earning mainly on direct sales to earning on marketplace fees, to me risks weakening Digitec’s alignment with end-customer satisfaction: a slow but clear descent into enshittification. Has anyone had a similar experience lately? What do you think: bad luck or bad processes? P.s.: I’ve seen the very recent thread ‘Has anyone else noticed a decline in Digitec/Galaxus quality?’ (https://www.digitec.ch/en...) and it resonates with my experience, but my issue is more specific: wrong product variants and what that says about the marketplace setup.

I had a very serious and stressful experience with Galaxus.nl.

I had a very serious and stressful experience with Galaxus.nl. I placed order (Order number) for an MSI MEG Z890 GODLIKE motherboard worth €1249. The package I received was damaged, incomplete and contained a different product. I returned it through the official Galaxus return system under return (Return number). After weeks of waiting, instead of receiving a clear refund or proper explanation, I received a very serious accusation of attempted fraud. I asked Galaxus several times to provide clear and verifiable evidence, including serial number reports, return inspection documents and an explanation why other invoices with different details were linked to my case. So far, I have not received a proper explanation. The live chat agents were polite, but they repeatedly said they had no access to the internal department handling the case. Being accused of fraud without receiving clear evidence is extremely serious and unacceptable. I am still waiting for a full written explanation, evidence and a fair resolution. I strongly advise customers to keep screenshots, payment proofs, return receipts and all communication if they have a serious issue with this company.

Is there a device that can stream music from a smartphone via Bluetooth and then transmit it from the device to a receiver via HDMI in good quality? My current setup is Apple TV (AirPlay) → HDMI receiver → speakers. There’s sometimes a lag due to Wi-Fi.

    Galaxus Internet: Our own hardware

I’ve just added a Ubiquiti router to my cart and straight away a pop-up appeared trying to sell me extra services, including the Galaxus fibre-optic subscription. Did I miss the fact that this is now possible with my own hardware, or was that just a case of poor planning?

Beware of warranty in the hardware hype

I'd like to briefly share my recent experience here - not purely to vent frustration, but as a well-intentioned warning for anyone who owns expensive hardware whose market price is currently rising massively. This has just happened to me with an ASUS RTX 5090. What happened? I bought an RTX 5090 in October 2025 for around CHF 2,300. The card recently suffered minor damage: A loose contact on the connector for the fan supply on the radiator. Since it was under full warranty, I thought I'd go the right way and send it in instead of tinkering with it myself. However, the service centre classified the case as "economically not repairable" without consulting me. Digitec then automatically issued a credit note for the old purchase price. The problem: Due to the current worldwide shortage, the market value of the card is now around CHF 3,400. The credit note is therefore worthless to me, as I cannot get a replacement on the market. My request to simply return the card to me unrepaired so that I can have the cable soldered at my own expense was refused - the device was no longer in stock. The bottom line is that I am left without a card and have effectively lost CHF 1,100 in value. I sympathise with the dealer - but a warning to you: To be fair, I do understand Digitec's behaviour from a purely commercial point of view. In the background, Digitec will probably only receive a credit note from the distributor based on the old purchase price of 2025 in such a case. If they were to provide me with a new card as a replacement today, they would have to pay the difference of CHF 1,100 out of their own pocket. It is obvious that a company would not voluntarily swallow these costs in the rigid structures of the supply chain. The bitter conclusion for us consumers, however, is that this inflation risk is passed on 100% to us via the general terms and conditions (section 7.1) in the case of warranty claims. If prices rise, the credit note is a massive loss-making transaction in an emergency. My advice to the Community: Given the current hardware shortage, think three times about whether you should really send in a card with minor damage (such as a defective fan or broken cable). As soon as the device slips through the service centre as "not repairable", you will never see the hardware again and will be fobbed off with the old purchase price. If in doubt, repairing it yourself after the first few months is unfortunately the smaller risk in the current market situation. Good luck to you all!

    Galaxus Internet

Hi everyone, Unfortunately I decided to go with Galaxus Internet and have now been without Internet for a week and had to buy an eSIM and with an unstable 5kbit connection no chance of working from home and it's already getting difficult with emails :'( Therefore: Does anyone happen to know a hack to activate the line from my side? I had received your router, when I connect to 1 of the OTO socket I get a flashing LED on the fibre and on connection 2 I get nothing. Of course I have not received an activation e-mail. But the subscription is already running and the support doesn't really get any further than the level "Have you plugged in the router?" or "Wait, then it will come". Thank you already for your input :)

    Shipping with Planzer

Hello Digitec - this is the second time that Planzer has deposited a (valuable) Digitec/Galaxus parcel on my doorstep (in Kleinbasel) and then confirmed the deposit by e-mail "deposited according to your instructions". 1. i did not provide any details 2. we were at home (especially because of the upcoming delivery) and the doorbell wasn't even rung This is the second time (both times a laptop). I would ask you to have a serious word with your logistics partner in the interests of your customers, or to use the postal service again, which is much more professional and reliable. Best regards, SF

They no longer deliver and hide behind an AI agent

I ordered goods worth 1000.- and expected them to be delivered today. Now they are holding back the package (which is so small that it fits in the mailbox) and insisting on a signature upon receipt. They apparently sent it registered mail. But that was never mentioned. I live abroad. At the delivery address in Switzerland, there is someone who was supposed to receive the package and bring it to me at the end of July. Everything well organized. Presumably, the deal will now fall through. The goods will go back to Digitec and they will have to send me the money back. And you can't even contact support anymore to solve the problem by mutual agreement. There are only these AI assistants, who are so poorly configured that they don't even understand the problems and constantly present the same old story.

Invoice Delivery Warranty Start "Allow Slower Delivery"

Order triggered with the delivery option "Allow Slower Delivery". Order 09.07 > 10.07. Notification from Post that the package will soon be handed over to Post. Estimated delivery date 13.-15.07 > 10.07 is set as invoice date and warranty start. Then the status remains the same on 14.07 (sorting at Post) > delivered on 15.07. Actually, the warranty period starts with delivery. Digtec informs upon request to refuse acceptance (but goods already in the mailbox) and reorder. Conclusion for me: never again "Allow Slower Delivery", even if there is no hurry, as I am still "punished".

    Planzer delivery service

There is already a lot to read about Planzer in the forum. But I can't help but express my anger about the delivery (service). Planzer is the absolute worst there is. Although I still understand that something can be delivered a day later. It can happen. With Planzer, however, nobody really knows when something will be delivered. Message (Monday) parcel collected. Message (Tuesday / 11.05 pm) - delivery not possible Wednesday enquiry to customer service as to why no delivery. The parcel was forgotten to be loaded. HaHa. Question (Wednesday) when will I receive the parcel? Answer, probably not today, maybe tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. My comment, I will be absent from Friday. Answer, yes in that case delivery on Monday. Sorry, that's just sh.... If I don't receive the parcel today, I will refuse to accept it and Digitec can then negotiate with Planzer itself. As a customer, I feel absolutely ripped off.

As soon as the product is damaged, you will experience Digitec from a different side!

For years, I was a loyal Digitec customer, ordering regularly both privately through multiple accounts and for business. After this experience, however, I seriously question why one would even take out a warranty and a paid warranty extension. My Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra was not even 6 months old at the time of the defect. Additionally, I purchased a 5-year warranty extension to be covered in case of problems. From my perspective, the defect was relatively minor, and the device was still almost fully functional. I actually wanted to fix the defect myself. However, my girlfriend advised me against it, as this could void the warranty. Therefore, I consciously decided to use the official warranty process through Digitec. On-site, I was only offered two options: a refund of my original purchase price or re-ordering the same device. I had consciously bought the device during a promotion for CHF 750 at the time. The same device costs around CHF 1,325 today. This would have meant that I would have had to pay an additional CHF 600 for the exact same device. I explicitly rejected both options. Instead, I clearly stated that I wanted a repair. I was assured that this would be possible and would take about 2 to 4 weeks. Even my address for the return of the repaired device was checked with me. For me, it was clear that my device would be repaired. My astonishment was all the greater when the service case was closed as "Refunded" less than 12 hours after I handed in my device. It is particularly noteworthy that the responsible Customer Care department later confirmed in writing that there had been a divergent communication or an internal communication error. What I cannot accept about this: I am promised a repair, something else is decided internally, and in the end, I, as the customer, am supposed to bear the financial consequences of an error that I did not cause. For me, this amounts to the disposal of my property. The crucial point is not what happened internally with the device, but that I no longer have any possibility to dispose of my own device, even though I explicitly requested a repair. It is particularly annoying that less than 24 hours later, I called and asked to simply have my device, or my property, returned to me. I would have carried out the repair myself if necessary. However, this was refused, as the device was allegedly already being processed at that time. Mistakes can happen. However, the fact that Digitec itself confirms an internal communication error and that I, as the customer, am supposed to bear the financial consequences of it, I consider neither customer-oriented nor professional. Service case: SVC8010573
