Shimano is a leading global manufacturer of bike components and bike parts, as well as an established manufacturer of fishing rods and fishing reels. The Shimano brand is considered the epitome of quality, reliability and performance, and it is impossible to imagine the global bike and bicycle industry without it.

In its more than 100-year company history, the Shimano brand with its accumulated knowledge repeatedly demonstrated the ability to implement current trends in thoughtful and groundbreaking technologies at an early stage. This was true even from the first freewheel hub, which was developed by Shozaburo Shimano, a cutler from Sakai, Japan.
