Dr. Martens

Boots by Dr. Martens, so-called Docs, were developed a few weeks after the end of the Second World War by the German doctor Klaus Märtens. The idea was to develop a sturdy worker's boot with a less hard shoe sole than conventional safety boots. Over time, the boot found favor in various youth movements and counted as a working-class boot. Today, it is impossible to imagine the fashion world without Docs with the typical yellow stitching thread.
