In 2016, Dell and EMC merged to form Dell Technologies, which primarily manufactures computers and storage solutions. The merger consisted of the seven leading technology providers Dell, Dell EMC, Pivotal, RSA, Secureworks, Virtustream and VMware and is aimed at driving the digital transformation and development of technology.

Dell can also supply servers, printers, storage systems, smartphones or consumer electronics products (also known as "brown goods" such as televisions).
