Sustainable products and top customer service from bamix
Many years ago (in 2007 to be precise) we bought a bamix hand blender. After all these years of loyal service, it recently "gave up the ghost". So it has been helping out in the kitchen for a good 18 years. As all the accessories are still in top condition, I didn't want to simply dispose of the blender. I found a telephone number for the service on the bamix website https://bamix.ch/pages.... A very friendly employee there explained to me that the symptoms I had described (the leg insert suddenly crackled in the blender and there was an unpleasant odour) indicated a burnt circuit board. I could send in the blender and they would clarify the defect. If the repair costs were up to CHF 60, the blender would be repaired immediately; if the damage was more expensive, the customer would be informed. I sent the blender to bamix in a B Mail parcel. On the third working day after dispatch, the repaired blender was already back with me. The remote diagnosis was completely correct. The defective circuit board was replaced, the mixer tested and sent back - all for CHF 45. I think this is a great service from bamix and I am pleased that bamix supports the sustainable use of appliances and accessories in this way in today's throwaway age. For me, this is a clear argument in favour of buying bamix!
